Send an SMS Campaign

Set up SMS, upload a list of numbers, send a campaign, and check what was delivered.

Salla stores

SMS is not available for stores connected through Salla.

1. Connect SMS

Open Messaging Channels → Add Channel → SMS. You can either buy an SMS package from us, or connect your own account with one of the supported providers and fill in its credentials and approved sender name:

Sender names usually have to be registered with the provider (and, in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, approved for the destination country) before messages will deliver.

2. Upload a list of numbers (optional)

SMS campaigns can go to your CRM contacts or to a list you upload.

  1. Open SMS Target Lists and download the CSV template.
  2. Fill in the list name, mobile numbers and user IDs. Give each list a unique name.
  3. Upload the file.

3. Send the campaign

  1. Open Marketing & messaging → Campaigns and choose the SMS builder.
  2. Name the campaign and write the message. Add a link if you need one — a product short link keeps it short and trackable.
  3. Choose the audience — all contacts, tags, individual contacts, or an uploaded list.
  4. Send Now, or Schedule for later.

Arabic message length

A message in Latin characters fits 160 characters per SMS segment. Arabic text uses Unicode, which fits 70 characters per segment, and each segment is billed separately.

4. Check delivery

The campaigns list shows each SMS campaign's receivers, status and success ratio. Open the notification logs to see every individual send with its status and the provider's response code — the place to look when fewer messages were delivered than expected.
