COD Confirmation Center

Cash-on-delivery orders are the biggest source of lost margin for most stores in the region: the order ships, the customer changes their mind at the door, and you pay for the product handling and both shipping legs. The COD Confirmation Center contacts the customer automatically the moment the order lands, and gives you one place to watch every unpaid order.

Open it from Revenue recovery → COD confirmations in the sidebar.

What counts as a COD order

An order is treated as cash-on-delivery when it is not paid — Shrinkit looks at the payment state, not the name of the payment method. This matters because merchants rename payment methods freely, and a method called "Cash" may be prepaid while one called "Card on delivery" is not.

Orders in the AUTHORIZED and PARTIALLY_PAID states are deliberately treated as not paid, so they appear here too.

Supported stores: Shopify, Salla and Zid. Orders from all three use the same status vocabulary, so the table and its filters work identically whichever platform you are on.

The orders table

Column Notes
Order ID The order number as it appears in your store
Customer Name on the order
Phone The number used for confirmation messages
Total Order value
Source Which store or storefront the order came from
Order date / Created at When the customer ordered, and when the row was created
Status See below

Search by order ID, phone number or customer name. Filter by status, by source, and by date range (last 7 days, last 30 days, or a custom range). Active filters are shown as chips so you can clear them one at a time or all at once.

Statuses

Pending · Processing · Handed to Shipping Company · Out for Delivery · Delivered · Voided · Partially Refunded · Refunded

"Confirmed" is a bucket, not a status. A confirmed order moves on to Processing and then through the fulfilment statuses — there is no status literally called "Confirmed".

Turning on automatic confirmation

Click Activate COD flow and follow the three steps. You can change the active route later; existing orders are not affected when you switch.

Step 1 — Choose your confirmation route

Pick one route. New eligible COD orders follow the one that is active.

A WhatsApp message goes out automatically as soon as a new COD order becomes eligible, with three buttons:

  • Confirm order — tags the customer cod-confirmed and sends a receipt
  • Cancel order — tags cod-cancelled and sends a receipt
  • Call me — tags cod-callback-requested and hands the conversation to an agent

Requires a connected WhatsApp Cloud channel.

The assistant confirms the order in a human-like tone, answers basic questions about it, and hands off to one of your agents when the customer asks for a person or the assistant is out of its depth.

Requires a connected WhatsApp Cloud channel.

The order is queued for a human callback instead of an automated message. Use this when your team prefers to keep the confirmation conversation on the phone.

Step 2 — Configure

Set the customer-facing details for the route you picked — message wording, tone, and whether agent handover is enabled — before it starts handling new orders.

Step 3 — Review & activate

Confirm the summary and switch it on. The banner at the top of the COD page then shows which route is active.

Connect a channel first

The WhatsApp and AI routes both need a WhatsApp Cloud channel. If none is connected the activation wizard tells you so — set one up under Messaging Channels and come back.

Watching the numbers

The Dashboard carries a COD widget for the period you have selected:

  • COD confirmations — how many were confirmed
  • Confirmation rate — confirmed as a share of orders contacted
  • Confirmed / Pending / Declined / Failed counts

Failed means the confirmation message could not be delivered — usually a bad phone number or a channel that has lost its connection. Check Messaging Channels if the failed count climbs.

Frequently asked

Does this change my orders in Shopify / Salla / Zid? Confirming moves the order forward at the vendor (Salla in_progress, Zid ready, a Shopify fulfilment) and cancelling voids and restocks it. Choosing "Call me" leaves the order pending — the agent decides the outcome.

Will old orders appear? No. Orders placed before Shrinkit was installed are not backfilled. The table fills up as new orders arrive.

Can I use it without WhatsApp? Only via the callback route. The automated routes are WhatsApp Cloud based.

Install Shrinkit on your store

Shrinkit works with Salla, Zid and Shopify. Install the app on your store and your orders, carts, products and customers appear in the dashboard automatically — no coding, no data import.
